Where can I find an interactive tutorial how to run statistics on data?

I am interested in gathering some data and running some statistical tests on what I gather. I was wondering if there were any interactive instruction online where you can follow a tutorial using provided data and then the different tests are explained, their strengths/weaknesses, importance, etc. Pretty much something where all the basic elements are introduced so that one can competently take some data and run simple tests that would be useful for research.
